This workshop — the first in a two part series — will explore how to process composite video signals with basic electronic circuitry. Starting with components like resistors and capacitors and building up to comparators and operational amplifiers, we will cover techniques for processing camera feeds, VHS tapes, and any other video signal in the composite format.
No electronics experience required. Participants must source their own materials (~$50-100 depending on where you buy them*) as well as provide their own equipment to generate and display composite video signals (camera or VCR, CRT, et cetera).
