Individual sessions will be recorded and archived for later use, though this course is intended to be taken as a communal, real-time experience. Archived sessions are best used as a reference, not as replacement for live instruction.

This workshop will explore how to process composite video signals with electronic circuitry as well as how to synthesize basic patterns with discrete components and ICs. Starting with resistors and capacitors and building up to comparators and operational amplifiers, we will cover techniques for processing camera feeds, VHS tapes, or any other video signal in composite format.

No electronics experience required. Participants must source their own materials (~$100-150 depending on where you buy them) as well as provide their own equipment to generate and display composite video signals (camera or VCR, CRT, et cetera).
